My best friends

My closest friends have always faded in and out, and since the whole Allen thing, Stella and Melanie have become my best friends.

I believe I’ve mentioned them both here before. But I just wanted to say a little bit about them.

I’ll start with Melanie. She and I have always been close. People call us “the Melanies”. She’s really popular. I don’t like using that word, but it’s really the best way to describe her. I don’t know a single person who has a bad thing to say about Melanie. She’s sweet and hilarious and pretty. She was even voted homecoming queen this year. Which makes our friendship seem weird to people because I am a chubby introvert with no social skills at all.

Stella is also well liked. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Stella. She’s a cheerleader for both football and basketball. She’s really tight with her family, and spends a lot of time with her parents and younger brother.

They’re the same height, about a half an inch shorter than me. They’re both thin and gorgeous. They’re both the type of girl that everyone loves. It makes me wonder why they pick me as their best friend. I don’t fit in with them at all. I’m always paranoid that I’m getting on their nerves.

Melanie and Stella both really push me out of my comfort zone. They make me go to social things like basketball games, and I’ve actually made some new friends in the past couple of weeks because of it.

So yeah that’s a little bit about my current best friends. Tonight we’re all hanging out at Stella’s house.
