Driving, Whisperer Wednesdays, Ellen

So, yesterday I went to school and had an awful time, then went to get tacos with Allen (I successfully fooled him into thinking that I was full and saving the rest of mine for when I got home.), raked the yard, watched too much TV, cleaned my room, and went to bed. ‘Twas a very uneventful day.

The thing I wanted to say about yesterday happened when I was driving home from my morning class. It was 9am and the weather was brisk and cool; not too cold, but cool enough for me to roll down the windows. I rolled down all of my windows and my favorite song came on the radio and it was the most amazing feeling. For a minute, everything was okay; the fresh air surrounding me, singing as loud as I could. For a minute I didn’t have to worry about the future or my weight or anything at all. I wish I could have a nice drive like that every day.

Today was not much better than yesterday. After school I did some laundry, and then went over to my friend Victoria’s house. Sometimes on Wednesdays I will go over to her house and we will watch Ghost Whisperer. We call it Whisperer Wednesdays. It isn’t every Wednesday, but it’s pretty cool. Victoria doesn’t go to the same school as me, so it’s basically the only time I get to see her.

Victoria is really rich and her house is really nice so I like going there. We just hang out watch TV and mess around on our computers but somehow it’s always a good time. I ate dinner with her and her parents. It was really good, better than my dad’s cooking actually.

When I got home from Victoria’s I watched the Ellen DeGeneres show. Kermit the Frog was one of her guests. It was so freaking cute. I love the Muppets. I love Ellen too. I try to watch her show every day. She’s laugh out loud funny and at the same time she’s a huge inspiration. Whenever she helps a family in need, or just helps someone fulfill their dreams it makes me really happy. Happy for that complete stranger. Ellen makes me want to do that kind of stuff. She’s the reason I volunteer at this one local soup kitchen every month.

So this isn’t very long, but that’s because the past couple of days have been very boring and ordinary.

Thank you for reading <3

xoxo,

Melanie
